Two Future Scenarios
Air Quality – Cullinan Studio
The research project is part of the design think tank run by the London School of Architecture 2017.
Cullinan Studio decided to explore the effects of air pollution on schools and young children, using a past project – Rosendale School near Brixton – as case study.
Our team took a more exploratory approach to the research and created two scenarios where one represents a mitigating/ shielding approach, where sources of pollution are not regulated and the school and students are left to their own means of health and environmental protection; and the other scenario being a more radical source elimination approach, where sources of pollution are removed from the vicinity of the school and students can enjoy more pedestrianised open space and cleaner air.
My contribution to the project include some initial research and the production of the scenario drawings.
